• Before you start

Adding our iron-on patches is a fun way to show your love for your best friend by personalizing your jacket, bag, jeans, and more! Follow this simple guide to attach your patches securely at home. No sewing skills required!

Iron-on patches work best on cotton, denim, or polyester blends. They don’t stick well to nylon, leather, or waterproof fabrics.

  • What you'll need

    • One of our iron-on patches
    • A clean fabric item (cotton or denim works best)
    • Iron (no steam) or heat press
    • Thin cotton cloth or parchment paper
    • Heat-safe surface (like an ironing board)
  • Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. Prepare Your Fabric

Lay your garment flat and iron the area where you want to place the patch. This removes wrinkles and helps the adhesive stick better.

    2. Position the Patch

Place your patch sticky side down exactly where you want it. Make sure it’s straight—once it’s attached, it’s hard to move!

    3. Cover and Heat

Place a thin cotton cloth, tea towel, or parchment paper over the patch. Press down firmly with your iron at medium-high heat.

    • Hold for 15–20 seconds without moving the iron.
    • Press straight down—don’t slide!

    4. Heat from the Back

Turn the fabric inside out and iron the backside of the patch for another 15–20 seconds. This helps melt the adhesive fully.

    5. Let It Cool

Allow the patch to cool completely before using or wearing the item. This helps it bond securely to the fabric.

    Optional: Make It Extra Secure

For items that get lots of wear (like backpacks or kids’ clothes), you can sew a few stitches around the edge after ironing for extra durability.

  • Care instructions

    • Wait 48 hours before washing.
    • Wash inside out on a gentle cold cycle.
    • Avoid high heat in the dryer. Air dry if possible.
